Respiratory Motion's ExSpiron 1Xi Minute Ventilation Monitor
"NEVER MISS A BREATH" WITH MINUTE VENTILATION MONITORING FOR NON-INTUBATED PATIENTS"
Minute Ventilation is the volume of air moved through the lungs in one minute
The ExSpiron uses patient size to calculate a predicted minute ventilation, which is that patients normal breathing at rest. This is defined as the patients 100% predicted minute ventilation (MVPRED)
ExSpiron continuously measures and displays the patient’s real time MVPRED using data from the PadSet. The ExSpiron displays the MVPRED both as a number and a trend.
The ExSpiron 1Xi measures bioelectrical impedance, which is the tissue’s opposition to carrying an alternating electrical current.
Impedance measurements across the chest correlate with the volume of air in the lungs.
The system consists of a single-use PadSet sensor and a monitor unit with integrated display
BETTER ADMISSION AND DISCHARGE DECISIONS
Hyperventilation is an early sign of viral pneumonia (i.e. COVID-19)
Subtle increases in work of breathing can signal progression that warrants escalation of care
Minute Ventilation lets you rapidly and easily assess and predict respiratory status to make better decisions on admission, discharge and required acuity of care
